A Seed of Hope Planted in Barren Ground
Change doesn’t happen overnight — but it grows. Our work began with a single goal and has since evolved into a movement dedicated to empowering people through food, water, and knowledge.
How It All Started
Real Stories, Real Impact
What started with one simple goal — growing food in places where little to no food is currently grown — has become a global grassroots mission. We are growing food in spaces as small as a closet – to an entire room or gymnasium – to full-scale farms with up to 4,000 individual row crop plants. We are reinventing food security through scalable, low-cost systems, both domestic and international.
What We Build
Tools That Nourish Communities
Our low-tech hydroponic gardens and rainwater systems are more than tools — they’re lifelines. They provide nutritious harvests, support clean water access, and help communities thrive with dignity.
- 15-acre “Lost Crops of Africa” farm built in Ikanga, Uganda
- Outdoor hydroponic garden testing now in Mbale, Uganda
- “Indoor Community Garden” operating in Tennessee.
- Thousands of organic food meals grown since 2008.
Our Method in Action
Simplicity That Grows Self-Reliance
We’re NOT a food bank; we create SYSTEMS that allow individuals and food banks alike to grow their own organic food, indoors or outdoors, year-round. With proven equipment, education and systems that make hydroponic food growing SIMPLE, we help provide fresh food in dozens of different ways!
- Indoor Grow Tent uses tiny indoor spaces to grow food – even in a dark basement!
- Backyard Hydroponic Tent – grow 100s of plants in a small protected space
- Indoor Community Garden – grows up to 2,000 heads of greens in an abandoned high school gymnasium!
"Empowerment starts with a seed — and grows with your help."

Since 2009, we’ve worked quietly behind the scenes—designing food-growing systems used by nonprofits around the world. Now, with our scalable units nearly market-ready, we’re stepping into the spotlight to bring solutions directly to more communities.
What food-growing units are you bringing to market?
After initial work in Kenya, we discovered a region in Eastern Uganda with urgent needs and no NGO presence. Our farm there is now recognized as a “model farm” by the Ugandan government.
Yes. Our top U.S. priority is building “Indoor Community Gardens,” beginning with a pilot in a repurposed school in Tennessee—and expanding nationwide.
Yes. We use the Kratky System with all-natural mineral nutrients—meaning everything grown is 100% organic and nutrient-rich.
We don’t operate farms, but we offer expert consulting. We’ll help identify contractors, build your plan, and stay on board to guide the project to success.
It varies based on your goals. We offer a one-time project fee for setup support. You own and operate the farm; we stay involved through our network, grant support, and optional management tools.
No, we don’t fund projects—but we help you find grants and resources to fund your farm locally.
We don’t sell equipment directly, but we’ll gladly share trusted product links we recommend.
